Ladies test (Germany measles antibody)

Germany measles (rubella) is a highly contagious infectious disease that spreads through the air and is caused by respiratory infections. If a pregnant woman is infected with Germany measles in the first 3 months, the virus may affect the fetus through the placenta, leaving the fetus with severe congenital disabilities, such as deafness, blindness, heart defects, mental retardation, or even death.

It is recommended that women undergo a German measles antibody test before marriage to find out whether they have ever had German measles and whether they have immunity. If it is confirmed that there is no Germany measles antibody in the body, the vaccine should be given to protect the health of the next generation.

Men's Examination (Routine Semen Analysis)

Routine semen analysis assesses a man’s sperm capacity by measuring the quality and quantity of a man’s semen and sperm. If a man’s sperm count is insufficient, sperm survival is low (less viable sperm and more dead sperm), sperm does not swim quickly, and the sperm shape (complete tadpole morphology) is abnormal such as collapse and tail loss, it will have an impact.

It is recommended that men undergo semen analysis before marriage, and if the results are not satisfactory, they can intervene as soon as possible, and make early changes through lifestyle changes, such as quitting alcohol, quitting smoking, or stopping staying up late, supplementing nutrition, and even receiving treatment for early improvement.

Hepatitis Test (Hepatitis B Test)

Hepatitis B is a viral infection that damages organs such as the liver, and about 8% of the population in Hong Kong are carriers of hepatitis B virus. Hepatitis B is mainly transmitted from mother to child, and there is also a possibility of infection in blood or body fluids with patients. If a newborn baby is infected, there is about a 90% chance of developing chronic hepatitis B, and most patients treated for hepatitis B need lifelong medication to control it.

It is recommended that both men and women undergo hepatitis B testing before marriage to test whether they are carriers of the virus to protect the health and happiness of themselves and their offspring.

Sexually Transmitted Disease Screening (Syphilis AIDS)

HIV and syphilis are mainly transmitted through sexual activity, but mother-to-child transmission is also one of the main modes of transmission. HIV infection destroys the body’s immune system, making the patient’s body less able to resist and can lead to death. Malignant syphilis damages the cardiovascular system, central nervous system, and can lead to death. If a pregnant woman has syphilis, it can lead to various defects such as blindness, deafness, etc., or even death.

It is recommended to get sexually transmitted disease screening before marriage to protect the health and happiness of yourself and your future generations. Early detection of the disease can also help to receive early intervention and avoid worsening of the condition.
